Service Description
Yin Yoga is a slower paced class where 4 or 5 Yoga shapes, usually seated or lying, are held for 3 to 4 or even 5 minutes to allow a deep physical release of muscles, fascia, ligaments and tendons. This class is presented with the support of Richmond Community Learning Centre - bookings are made through: www.rclc.org.au This practice is supported using yoga props (blocks and bolsters, which are supplied). You can expect to be guided gently into a deep meditative state of rest and relaxation and guided through a theme for the class before finishing with a Yoga Nidra (a mini guided relaxation and mindfulness practice). Yin is great for anybody looking for a deep restorative practice and can help release ingrained postural tension and mind traps. By practising Yin, you will progress deeper into stretching, relaxation and meditation.
